How do I identify college lesbians in the midwest? So I'm in a conservative college town in the mid west and it's very difficult to find lesbians. I just wanted tips to identify lesbians, there is a lesbian center but most people have slept with each other so I don't want to date them, and I am not a fan of the lesbian scene either so I prefer to find someone like me whose a regular person not into the whole getting drunk, etc. |

What are some popular majors for college lesbians? It seems to me that a lot of them go into psychology, social work, or something artistic. Is it just me? Is there a basis to this hypothesis? |
| I would agree that sexual orientation does not promote interest in a field. However, women in general tend toward the social sciences, human services, and arts in a higher percentage then men. Certainly all lesbians are women ergo a higher percentag of lesbians will be in certain professions. Studing women studies is again something you will see many women who have experienced oppression in its many forms. Since most lesbian's will have experienced more oppression they may seek a safer major in which to explore and understand thier experience. DA |
Best way to get out and meet bisexuals/lesbians in college? Just starting to come to terms with sexuality? I kind of accepted my sexuality as bi, leaning heavily on women. I'm not sure exactly if I am a lesbian because I still have some feelings for men and could see myself with them. But, I was just wondering best way to get out and meet other bisexuals/lesbians in college? Like should I try to find a group or something? |
get involved in groups,, and just meet people.
I would.t say to go out there and find someone to date, but get to know people form connections and you will definitely find people who are bi/lesbian.
If there is an lgbt group then join it. There's not one at my school, sadly |
How to meet more lesbians in college? I'm kind of just starting to come out. It's been a little hard some friends rejecting, etc ,etc. Still haven't told parents, but the more I talk to people that don't care the more comfortable I'm feeling with it. Anyways, I've been talking with one girl who is in a serious relationship with her gf and she has been helping me sooo much! She said I should try to meet more lesbians because it will help even more. But, I dunno really where to go. |
Check out the student organizations. Unless you're in a religious school, there ought to be some sort of glbt social group.
Also check out the Lesbian Connection, a magazine run for women who want to meet women. You ought to be able to order it through a big-box bookstore. |
How can a shy lesbian meet other lesbians in college? I'm a college senior who just came out at the end of last semester. i'm very shy and i do associate with people, but i do not have the confidence to approach any lesbians that i am interested in. im also very femme so that is sort of a problem. right now im just looking for friends that may hopefully lead to something more.lastly, my college does not have a gsa. |
| Try expanding your social circles. It may help. GOOD LUCK(^_^)KAY |
Are there any lesbians or bi girls when you go to college? This is my last year in high school and I'm going to college. I'm just wondering If theres more lesbians and bisexuals in college because in my high school there were no gays or lesbians. I live in a small little town where it kinda isn't accepted as much as other areas. If there was any gays or lesbians, all of them are in the closet. Is it different in college? |
The first time I ever heard of a LGBT club was when I went to University.
Uni will be a whole new world for you, you mix with new people, live away from home and - yes - you will find lots of campus clubs, groups and societies.
Unless you're going to Brigham Young University, or something similar, then you will almost certainly find and LGBT group |
What is the statistic of Lesbians in College Basketball + Softball? It just seems that 93% of the players in those sports are lesbians at least in my school. |
| 100% |
How to meet lesbians in college? I think I might be gay, but I'm not sure and don't really want to join the GLBTQ club on my college campus until I'm sure of what I am, or I have someone close to join with me. Would I have a good chance of meeting other gay people by just joining other random clubs on campus? I need to jump start my social life... |
| Take a womens studies class. Interesting as hell and lesbian heaven. I'd never seen so many hot dykes in one room before:D By just joining other clubs, maybe depending upon what kind of club. If it has to do with human rights or equality or something like that theres probably going to be a greater chance of having lesbian members. |
Virginia college that is most accepting of gays and lesbians? I was just wondering, which virginia college is the most gay-friendly? I know that its probably half-and-half with a lot of them, seeing as Virginia isn't totally accepting of gays and lesbians, but what do you guys think? |
| William and Mary, any performing arts one. |

| Well....first things first...you need to get some confidence...have something to offer that other person...you can try on line, but that can be a bit touch and go...gotta weed out the nuts....you might just have to bite the bullet and work up some nerve to talk to a stranger!!!! |
